Elementum Ltd in conjunction with DWF has set up a network group for successful women in business and held its 2nd event at the Majik House in Kirkby Lonsdale.

The reasoning behind the creation of Uptown Girls was that most referrals in business are through people you generally know and trust the majority of networking events seem to focus on small businesses, where business cards are exchanged but very little business! We thought it would be a good idea to bring together a small group of successful like minded professional business women to do informal fun things together that will allow opportunities for business relationships to develop which may lead to referrals, what we don’t want is a hard sell exercise and to do it in a more relaxed and social environment. The intention is to keep it small initially and to grow the group slowly so that there are lots of opportunities to get to know the members.
